Firmware Update: DCB61 Debut ConneX

Upgrade your Debut ConneX DCB61 to the latest Firmware and check the version currently installed.

Overview:

This article outlines the steps to update the Firmware of your ConneX DCB61 Speakers, and to check your current firmware version.

You can always get the latest firmware available from the Debut ConneX DCB61 Product Page under the Resources tab.


Check Current Firmware Version

  1. Download Debut ConneX App for iOS or Android
  2. Select your Debut ConneX from the list.
  3. Click on Setups and scroll down to About
  4. You can see your currently installed firmware version here.
  5. Note: You can ignore the first period when comparing version numbers. E.g. V20.7 is the same firmware as 2.0.7 when downloading from website.

Firmware Update Procedure

Prepare USB Drive
  1. You will need a USB drive smaller than 8 GB, and it needs to be formatted to FAT32 file system. 
  2. Download latest firmware update ZIP file.
  3. Uncompress the ZIP file, and copy update files onto the ROOT DIRECTORY of the USB Drive. Note: There should be only 1 files that must be copied directly to the USB Root Directory—it cannot be in a folder.

    Apply the Update
  4. Turn off unit and unplug power cable. Wait 2 minutes for power to discharge.
  5. **Important** During the upgrade, do not remove the USB drive as it can cause the unit to become bricked. Please be careful!
  6. Insert the USB drive into the USB update port on back of speaker.
  7. Plug power cable into unit and turn on AC power.
  8. Update will start automatically. LED will flash white to indicate update is in progress. If the upgrade is successful, the LED will flash white/green.
  9. After update is complete, remove power cable.
  10. **Important** Wait 2 minutes before removing USB drive and plugging in power cable, or you may lose update.
